In "the bibelots are not yet ripe", porcelain bibelots are appropriated and incorporated into the sculptures as fruits, buds or inflorescences. Miniature vases, jugs and other objects appear in a state of formation, as though they were still growing before assuming a definitive function or classification. The series displaces decorative miniatures and collectable objects to create an imaginary botany, with forms that oscillate between artefact and organism.
